TINLEY PARK, IL — The Village Board of Tinley Park voted to approve the annexation of the 110 acres of land located along Harlem Avenue and Vollmer Road in unincorporated Cook County, for the development of a future business campus at Tuesday night’s meeting.
According to the agreement, the purchasers, Scannell Properties, plan to develop the business park into nearly 1.3 million square feet of industrial buildings. The site would be used as a warehouse and distribution center, and is expected to utilize light industrial use.
As of now, the development will be conducted in three phases, and is expected to have two to three buildings when completed. The first phase will include construction of the first building, which will be a speculative building with no specific tenant.
