Darien recently honored the Darien Sport Shop for its 75
years of business and support to the community.
It started as a one-room sporting goods store in 1946 and
blossomed into a three-floor, one-stop-shop that employs nearly 50 people.
Gina Zangrillo, the shop’s president, says the key is to
treat customers like they are old friends.
