The Wine Beach opened last week at 5351 E. Second St., at Santa Ana in Belmont Shore. Their grilled s’mores served on sourdough bread are one of their most Instagram-worthy menu items.

“Our first week has been amazing. We have had a warm and welcoming reception from our neighbors and many have become new wine club members,” co-owner Jodi Meade texted.

The $65 a month wine club dues includes two bottles of wine and various discounts and perks. The restaurant has floor-to-ceiling roll-up doors, allowing for indoor and outdoor dining. There is an 1,800-bottle wine selection available for on-premises consumption or to take home.

Whiskey nights

The Social List, at 2105 E. Fourth St. in Retro Row, is planning a whiskey tasting. Whiskey Night is from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight, Thursday. There will be 25+ whiskey tastings and small bites. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $40 per person.
