LIMA — Lima police are investigating an assault of a woman Friday outside a local business.
Officers were called to the Dollar General store at 310 N. Jameson Ave. around 9 p.m. Friday on the report of an assault.
When they arrived, they found Jaytoria Mcway, 22, of Lima, lying in the parking lot. Witnesses and surveillance video revealed there was an argument between Mcway and George Crisp III, 42, of Lima.
Crisp allegedly strangled her unconscious and then was seen slamming her to the pavement before removing a young child from the vehicle and driving away, according to police.
Mcway was taken to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center for treatment.
Crisp was arrested at an apartment at 330 Calumet and charged with suspicion of felonious assault.
