Woman who says business stole her personal information, woke her with phone call, threatens to shoot employees: Beachwood police blotter

BEACHWOOD, Ohio — Disturbance: Chagrin Boulevard

At 1:15 p.m. Dec. 15, officers were called to the Verizon store, 24315 Chagrin Blvd., where a female customer threatened to shoot employees. The woman, 35, of Garfield Heights, believed the business stole her personal information, but it was not clear to officers why she believed this. The woman also said she was upset because Verizon called and woke her up that day.

Police issued the woman a trespass order and advised her not to return.

At 3:25 p.m. Dec. 15, it was reported that a male suspect stole $200 worth of goods from Giant Eagle, 24601 Chagrin Blvd. The suspect fled the store before police arrived and was not apprehended.

At 4:35 p.m. Dec. 16, police arrested a Cleveland man, 31, for stealing a package of Polo underwear valued at $42.50 from Dillard’s at Beachwood Place mall, 26300 Cedar Road.
