YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The YMCA of Youngstown has partnered with Mahoning County Job and Family Services for a Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Grant through Sept. 30, 2022 for Mahoning County Families in need.
Those at 200% of federal poverty level for households with students in kindergarten through 12th grade and non-custodial parents with students in kindergarten through 12th grade can participate in YMCA programs at no cost.
Olivia Murphy, YMCA of Youngstown Central Branch youth and teen director, says it’s important for those eligible to get signed up for this program – helping these young people with a support system.
“It’s really important to the entire family just as much as the community that we’re taking care of these kids and trying to get them exposed to a lot more,” she says.
